Mr. Donald Addison, age 75 of 1041 N. Hicks Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A son of the late DeLeon and Lee Blanche Cash Addison, he was born September 3, 1941 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was a 1959 graduate of Stephens County High School, a cattle and poultry farmer, a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Madge Maxwell Addison; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Eric Pozin of Mount Vernon, New Hampshire; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Sarah Addison of Jefferson, Georgia; five grandchildren, Dylan Addison, Isabella Addison, Laurel Pozin, Abby Pozin and Ben Pozin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Addison and Mike and Loretta Addison both of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Chuck Bentley of Lexington, Georgia; sister-in-law, Martha Owens of Eastanollee; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 15, 2017, 11 O’clock A.M in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Phillip Gillespie officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Russ Addison, Cory Addison, Sherman Meadows, Scott Finley, Darryl Addison and Danny Teater.
The family will be at the home on N. Hicks Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 2 P.M until 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
