Mrs. Nina Crump Terry, of Reston, Virginia and formerly of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Reston Hospital Center.
Daughter of the late Ola and Henry Crump, Nina was born July 24, 1927 in Franklin County, Georgia. She lived in Toccoa until 1954, when she moved to Hampton, Virginia where she resided for 40 years, until retiring to New Port Richey, Florida. In 2004, Nina relocated to Athens, Georgia then joined her son in Reston in 2014. Nina was a graduate of Toccoa High School. Nina earned an associate degree from North Georgia College, a bachelors from St. Leo College and a masters from George Washington University. She worked as an executive secretary and public affairs officer for the U.S. Army at Fort Monroe, Virginia. Nina was preceded in death by her husband Frank Powell Terry and son Richard Henry Terry.
Survivors include her son Mark Frank Terry and daughter-in-law Lynn Terry of Reston, sister-in-law Rebecca Crump Morgan of Canon, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Toccoa on Saturday, April 15th at 2 O’clock P.M. with the Reverend Dr. John Brown officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Adam Thornton, Chuck Holland, Eddie Holland, Barry Thornton, Robert Ward and Paul Griffith.
The family will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home in Toccoa from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, April 14th.
Interment will be at Stephens Memorial Gardens in Toccoa immediately following the service with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Nina Crump Terry.
Those who wish may give memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Toccoa Youth Fund, 333 E. Tugalo Street, Toccoa, Georgia in memory of Mrs. Nina Crump Terry.
