Mr. Hollis James Gastley, age 60 of 65 Penn Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at his residence.
A son of the late Ray and Thelma Swafford Gastley, he was born September 6, 1956 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was employed with Adams Building Supply. He was a member of Tugalo Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Music Director. He was a long-time coach for little league for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Bobby Gastley.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Marie Childers Gastley; two sons, Josh Gastley and Caleb Gastley both of Toccoa; granddaughter, Carli Gastley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Brenda Swafford of Eastanollee and twin brother, Wallis and Kellie Gastley of Clemmons, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Kirsten Gastley of Smyrna, Georgia and Janie Burel of Dawsonville, Georgia.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 2 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Harris Pressley officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kevin Gastley, Bryan Gastley, Ryan Gastley, Jim Swafford, Ben Swafford and Cameron Bryant.
The family will be at the home on Pinn Drive and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in Tugalo Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Hollis James Gastley.
