Linda McCrindle McCaskill

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 13, 2017 at Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel for Linda McCrindle McCaskill, age 64, of Murrayville, Ga. The Rev. Charlie Green will officiate. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. McCaskill passed away on the 9th of April 2017 surrounded by family after an extended illness.

Linda lived in South Florida most of her young life.  She graduated from Coral Gables High and attended Miami Dade Community College.  She and her husband Ray McCaskill of 42 years had met in high school, married, and started their family before relocating to Murrayville, Ga., in 1980.  Linda was a devoted wife, mother and Mimi, an active member of the community, and supported Gainesville First United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, and playing with her grandchildren.  After raising her children, she returned to work at Gainesville Physical Therapy from which she retired in 2015.

Her love, laughter, and infectious smile will be greatly missed.  She was preceded in death by her father, David McCrindle of Toledo, Ohio and father in-law, R. Wayne McCaskill, of Murrayville, Ga.  

Linda is survived in death by her mother, Beverley J. Pool of Gainesville; mother in-law, Marion B. McCaskill of Murrayville, husband, Ray G. McCaskill of Murrayville; daughter and son in-law, Jennifer and Lucas Bolton of Murrayville; son and daughter in-law, Robert and Kristen McCaskill of Murrayville; and grandchildren, Joab and Julie Bolton and Braden McCaskill.
