Katie Lou Ivester

Mrs. Katie Lou Ivester, age 94, of Commerce, GA died Friday, April 07, 2017 at Heritage of Athens.  Mrs. Ivester was born in Ila to the late Seaborn and Elvie Hooper Wilder.  She was retired from Harmony Grove Mill.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ivester was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ivester; brothers, Hoyle, Herman and William “Bill” Wilder.

Mrs. Ivester is survived by her daughter, Kathy Sears of Commerce; granddaughter, Lee Ann Smith (Johnny) of Commerce; brother, Jack Wilder of Piedmont, SC; and sister, Georgia Sue Armisted of Lexington.

Gravesides services will be at 3 PM, Sunday, April 9 at Jackson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Blalock officiating.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
