Peggy Sue Shope

Mrs. Peggy Sue Shope, age 79, of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 05, 2017 at Friendship Nursing Home in Cleveland following an extended illness.

Private interment will be held at a later date.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Shope was born on October 15, 1937 in Talmo, Georgia to the late Grover Williams and Verbie Grace Millwood Williams. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Johnnie Shope, brother, Henry Williams and sisters, Hazel Patterson and Blanche Stephens.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws, Gayle and Johnnie Vickers of Oakwood, Vicki and Chris Baker of Gainesville, Paitra and Brian Smith of Gainesville, grandchildren, Susan Vickers, Kristen Vickers, Brock Manning and Chad Manning and brother and sister-in-law, Hansel and Mary Williams of Talmo.
