Claude Robert Garrett Jr

Mr. Claude Robert Garrett Jr. age 78 of Oakwood passed away on Tuesday April 04, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center after a very short fight with cancer.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday April 07, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend David Matthews and Dr. Robert Klassen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday April 06, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Garrett was born on July 12, 1938 in Gainesville, Ga to the late Claude Robert Garrett Sr. and Decima Smith Garrett. He was a retired from Florida Rock where he drove a gas truck for 30 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Jessie Merle Garrett, grand-daughter, Ashley Nicole Sailors, and brother, Kenneth Garrett.    

He is survived by his son, Charles Robert Garrett of Oakwood, niece, Michelle Sailors, and a host of friends, and good neighbors.
