Demorest Parks Bell

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Demorest Parks Bell, age 76 of Gainesville, Georgia (Belmont Community) who entered into rest Sunday, April 2, 2017.  Mr. Bell was born in Gainesville, Georgia a son of the late Luther C. Bell and the late Gussie Lee Allen Bell.  Mr. Bell was retired from Gainesville Marina and was a member of Belmont Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bell is preceded by a son, Jeffery Parks Bell, two sisters; Oneida Maddox and Ethelda Maddox and two brothers; L.C. and Nathan Bell.

Mr. Bell is survived by his wife, Sandra Evans Bell of Gainesville, son, Stephen Bell and his wife Shannon of Winder.  Grandsons,  Mark and Jacob Bell of Gainesville, granddaughter, Elizabeth Bell of Winder, great grandson, Daniel Bell of Winder.  Two brothers, Corman Bell and his wife Carolyn of Gainesville, Elton Bell and his wife Sheryl of Jefferson, and a sister, Lala Fowler and her husband Randall of Florida.  Also surviving, are sister in laws, Agnes and Barbara Bell, and brother in laws, Bud and Eddie Maddox.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from the Belmont Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Mobley officiating with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.  Mr. Bell will lie in state at the Church, 2:30 – 3:00 P.M..  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Steve Bell, Mark Bell, Mike Bell, David Bell, Ken Bell and Jay Ivey.  The family will receive friends, 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Belmont Baptist Church Building Fund, 3635 Belmont Highway, Gainesville, Georgia  30507.
