Mrs. Robbie Ann Childs Capes, age 71, of Freeman Creek Circle, Eastanollee, Ga., passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Stephens County Hospital.
A daughter of the late Robert Emory and Eris Crunkleton Childs, she was born August 19, 1945 in Stephens County, Georgia where she has lived for most of her life. Mrs. Capes was employed with WOMECO Food Service for twenty-two years and was a member of Community Harvest Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Childs.
She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Capes of the home, brother, Ronny Childs of Carnesville, Ga., great granddaughter by love, Ashley Childs, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, C.W. and Sybil Capes of Toccoa, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017, 2:00 P.M., at the New Bethel Baptist Church with The Reverend Tim Bennett and The Reverend Joey Whitlock officiating.
The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers and will please assemble at Acree-Davis Funeral Home by 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Joe Whitlock, Claude Childs, Steve Milford, Mark Stowe, Ted Crunkleton, and Larry McFarlin.
The family will be at the home on Freeman Creek Circle, and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 until 8 P.M.
