Earl E. Gilreath

Obituary Date: Sunday, April 2, 2017

Earl E. Gilreath age 83, of Cleveland passed away Sunday April 2, 2017.   

Mr. Gilreath was born in White County the son of the late Lewis and Cathrene Thomas Gilreath.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Gilreath, and brothers, Kenneth Gilreath and Bill Gilreath.  Mr. Gilreath was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and attended Shoal Creek Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Judy Gilreath, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Dee Cannon, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jana and Johnny Shelton, Katie and Cody Charles, Joe Cannon, all of Cleveland; great grandchild, Cole Shelton, Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest and Liz Gilreath, Neal and Virginia Gilreath, all of Cleveland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Eugene Seabolt, Cleveland, Frances and Stanley Jones, Demorest, Gail and Bob Oliver, Cleveland; sister, Edith Stover, Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Gilreath, Edna Gilreath, both of Cleveland. 

A special thanks to Betty Lance and staff, Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice and all other caregivers. 

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday April 4, 2017 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Johnny Shelton, the Rev. Phillip Robinson and the Rev. Stacy Dyer will officiate.  Interment will be at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
