Manley Hoyt Jones

Manley Hoyt Jones, age 94, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017.
 
Hoyt was born in Gainesville on December 26, 1922 to Manley C. and Levicie Jones.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII.  Hoyt retired from General Motors.
 
In addition to his parents, Hoyt was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Lumpkin Jones; daughter, Meriel Jones Cronk; and ten siblings.
 
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Welborn of Clarkesville; son and daughter in law, Emory and Margaret Jones of Clarkesville; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
 
The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 P.M. Sunday at Hillside.
 
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Reverend Jerry Carnes will officiate.  Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
