Mary Belle Boston

Mary Belle Boston, age 73, of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

She was a dedicated matriarch and strong independent woman who lived for her family and fought a long hard battle for the life of her family.

Mary was the daughter of the late Elda and Bessie Garrett Boston.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Boston and MacArthur Boston.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Denise Fortner, Helen, GA; adopted son, Justin Ravan, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Argo and LaVerne Gibson, Powder Springs, GA, Herbert and Kim Boston, Murrayville, GA; grandchildren, Shane Fortner, Jordan and Brandi Fortner, Taylor McTaggart, Heather Gunter; great-grandchildren, Brianna Tench, Colton Tench; and grandma’s boy, Taz.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mary are scheduled for 3 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate

Interment will follow in Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 5 PM to 9 PM and again on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 10 AM until service time.
