Betty Troup Moore

Mrs. Betty Troup Moore, age 83 of Walnut Street, Toccoa, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

A daughter of the late H.O. and Addie Lee Johnson Troup, she was born March 25, 1934 in Stephens County where she has lived her entire life. She was affiliated with Troup’s Photo for many years. She attended University of Georgia and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and a member of the First United Methodist Church and she was a nursery worker for many years.

Survivors include her husband Tom Moore of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Judy & Bruce Hulsman of Toccoa, sons and daughter-in-law Kelly & Jeannie Moore of Sky Valley, GA, and David Moore of Toccoa, five grandchildren, Lance Moore, Adam Hulsman, Aaron Hulsman, Autumn Cheek and Scott Cheek. seven great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Robert A. “Bob” and Betty Troup of Toccoa, sister-in-law Carolyn Brown of Gainesville, GA, a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 4 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. John Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3 until service time. 

Interment will follow in Toccoa City Cemetery.

The following will serve as pallbearers, Harry Joiner, Mark Scott, Aaron Hulsman, Adam Hulsman, Nat Ackerman, and Rocky Scott.

Flowers are optional, those desiring may make memorials to First United Methodist Church Nursery in memory of Mrs. Betty Troup Moore.
