Mrs. Maddalena G. Frontera, age 84, of Hoschton passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s Diseaase.
Prayer Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Deacon ___ will officiate. The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mrs. Frontera was born November 14, 1932 in Sant’ Angelo, Italy. She was the youngest daughter of Gaetana Pomarico and Rocco Giammarino. She is retired from Cintas, where she was a seamstress. Maddalena had a huge personality. She was the life of the party and she threw many of the best. She was one of the most amazing cooks and everybody remembers her famous ravioli and strufoli. Her most passionate roles were as an immensely devoted wife and mother. Her love and passion for her family here and in Italy knew no bounds. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Frontera is survived by her husband of 52 years, Giuseppe “Joe” Frontera; children, Yolanda Frontera and her partner, Suzanne Saccone of East Granby, Connecticut, John Frontera and his wife, Kate Frontera of Braselton, and Michael Frontera and his wife, Kristin McKeown of Denver, Colorado; and her two grandchildren, William and Lauren Frontera.
