Eleanor Lee Francis

Eleanor Lee Francis, born 7/17/1926 in Pennsboro,WV died peacefully on 3/19/17 in Johns Creek, GA.  She was born the daughter of William Worstell and Hazel Worstell , and graduated from Pennsboro High School.  In May of 1947, she married O. Lee Francis, and began a lifetime of support for her husband.  They remained in WV until 1958, when they moved to Decatur, GA.  She was active in Eastern Star and the Yaarab Temple Motorettes, and traveled the country with Lee with his job functions until they moved to Cumming, GA in 1990. 

Eleanor was a charter member of Lanier United Methodist Church in Cumming. 

She loved ice cream, canasta, bunco, and rummycube, and any activity that brought her together with friends.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Lee, whom she was married for 59 years; brothers Robert Worstell and Jack Worstell, and is survived by son Michael Francis of Jonesboro, daughter Teresa Wagner (James) of Charlottte, granddaughter Sarah Wagner Dodd (Ryan) of Mooresville, NC, and great-grandson Wells Hunter Dodd. 

Visitation will be on March 22, 2017from 11am-12pm, service will be on March 22, 2017 at 12pm in the Chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home at 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA  30040.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Agape Hospice of Atlanta, or Lanier United Methodist Church, 1979 Buford Highway, Cumming, GA  30040.
