Chief Warrant Officer 4 (U.S. Army, Retired) William Robert Weaver, age 87, of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
William served 32 ½ years in the United State Army as a Logistics Officer. He had the honor during his time in service, serving as a White House guard during the Kennedy/Johnson administration. Dad was a loving husband and father, the best!!! He will be missed by those he loved.
William was the son of the late Perry Clyde and Mary Jean Shook Weaver. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Louise Kiser Weaver; sons, Karl Lee Weaver, John Barron Weaver; and granddaughter, Kristen Louise Weaver.
William is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William Robert Weaver, Jr. and Judy Edwards Weaver, Manassas, VA, David Brian and Deborah Stephens Weaver, Dahlonega, GA, Gary Ross Weaver, Warner Robins, GA, Christopher Allen Weaver, Warner Robins, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Jean Weaver, Dahlonega, GA, Marie Annette and Dennis Gooch, Dahlonega, GA, Mary Ellen and Brett Turner, Gainesville, GA; sister, Mary Jean Wessel, Ashland, KY; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for William are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Concord Baptist Church.
Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Roger Dunagan, and Rev. Tony Allison will officiate.
Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2 PM to 9 PM and again on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 10 AM until 1 PM.
