John R. Hennings, age 73, of Alpharetta GA, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, after a 5 month battle with several illnesses. John was born in Tarrytown, NY, to John M. Hennings and Natalie Hennings.
John is survived by his loving, dedicated wife, Evelyn; his sons, John and Rick; sister, June; brother-in-law Otto; daughters-in-laws, Kathy and Cindy; nephews and nieces, Randy, Kevin, and Ashely; step grandson, Britton, and his beloved dog Buddy.
John attended Sleepy Hollow High School in NY, where he met his high school sweetheart Evelyn, marrying her in 1963. He was a dedicated father, husband, son and friend. He was known for his passion of cars and love of dogs, along with always willing to give a helping hand to others. John rose through the ranks of General Motors before retiring after over 35 years of service.

A private ceremony was held earlier this week.
