Mrs. Reba Hunsinger, age 85, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, GA.
Reba was born in Oconee County, SC June 25, 1931. She had lived in Dahlonega, GA since 1947. She was retired from the Burlington Pine Tree Plant in Dahlonega. She was a member of the Dahlonega Garden Club and an accomplished textile artist for many years. Reba was also a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Dahlonega.
Reba was the daughter of the late Ed Gentry and Rosa Hill Gentry and was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Doyal Hunsinger; brothers, Ed Gentry Jr, Donald Gentry, and Billy Hunsinger; and sister, Sarah Wright.
Reba is survived by sons and daughters in law, James and Sheila Hunsinger, Cuthbert, GA; Johnny and Murdean Hunsinger, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters in law, Bobby and Joann Gentry, Canon, GA, Arnold and Hilda Gentry, Dahlonega, GA, Ray and Inga Gentry, Canon, GA; sisters and brother in law, Julie Sanford, and Faye and Gary Danielson, both of Hattiesburg, MS; Grandchildren, Carol and Joey Peck, Gainesville, GA, Christine and David Consonant, Danville, IL; great-grandchildren, Devin, Madilynn, and Isabelle Peck. A number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Reba are scheduled for 4 PM Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.
Rev. Ronnie Fuller and Rev. Shane Wehunt will officiate.
Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 5 PM until 9 PM and again on Monday from 10 AM until service time.
