Colonel D. Fleming

Colonel D. Fleming was born May 15, 1944 in Wilkes County (Elberton) Georgia. He was born to the parents of Willie and Annie Lee Fleming who preceded him in death. He moved to Gainesville and married Dorothy Juanita Barnett. For many years Colonel worked as a Chef at Nicolson Cafeteria. He was a chef, painter and Gardner. He faithfully served at St. John helping with the food bank. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Dorothy Juanita Fleming, one son: Drake L. (Monique) Fleming, one daughter Charlene, one sister Arrie Fleming, two brother Tony Fleming and Calvin Fleming, tow grandchildren Dramon Fleming and Andrew Thomas and a special son Calvin Hopson and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2016 at Historical St. John Baptist Church at 11:00 AM.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.  Funeral Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home
