Marty Alan Crumpton

Mr. Marty Alan Crumpton, age 24 entered heaven on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of Phil and Louise Smith Crumpton, he was born August 28, 1992 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  Marty enjoyed life to the fullest.  He loved everyone and never met a stranger.  He loved to attend church at Tates Creek Baptist Church. He loved singing, traveling and just being among those he loved and he was loved by many.  He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Carlie and Evelyn Smith and paternal grandparents, Willis and Agatha Crumpton.

Survivors include his parents, Phil and Louise Crumpton and twin sister, Katie Crumpton, all of the home; sisters, Selena Rees and husband James Rees and Sharon Crumpton all of Toccoa; several nieces, nephew and great-nieces and several aunts, uncles, cousins and neighbors who were like grandparents.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 16, 2017, 2 O’clock P.M. at Rock Creek Baptist Church with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty and The Reverend Dr. Tim Miller officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jonathan Farmer, Jeff Farmer, James Rees, John Payne, Chris Shirley and Ryan Matthews.  Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Shirley and Ron Davis.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. and on Wednesday, 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.  Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfhcom.

Interment will follow in Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Marty Alan Crumpton.
