James Leonard Bennett

James Leonard Bennett, age 81, of Buford, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017. He was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Choir Leader. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kazy and Ruth Bennett; sister, Margie Bennett.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley Bennett of Buford; 4 nieces, Ira Jackson, Kathy Smith, Laura Ratterree and Stephanie Pugh.

Funeral services will be on held on Sunday, March 12th, at 1:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Crocker officiating. Interment will follow in Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
