Seaborn Ray Martin, 86 years of age is now resting in peaceful sleep in the arms of his Lord. He passed away Wednesday, March 8th in Chatsworth Georgia, at the Chatsworth Nursing home.
He was born August 11, 1930 to the late Claud J. Martin and Mamie Lee Stewart Martin in Hall County, Gainesville, Georgia.
Seaborn was by trade a brick mason and was second to none in His profession. He was a very talented musician and was a member of the Gainesville, Georgia Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was married to Dorothy Louise Justus on Apr. 3, 1952 in Hall County, Georgia. Dorothy passed away July 12,1975.
Predeceased by his wife, 3 children, Karen Martin, Jedidiah Martin and Deborah Stover, half-brother, Grady Martin, half-sister, LaCleta Robinson, brothers, Carlton and Alton Martin, sisters, Geraldine Sailers, Juanita Anderson, Myrtie Lee Garner, Nora Hayes.and Millicent McCabe.
Surviving are his two children, Richard Ray Martin of Sebring, Florida and Laura C. Steiner of Chattanooga,Tennessee; grandchildren,Stephanie Rucker, Adam Stover, Hannah Hogdkins, Ashley T. Martin, Chad A. Martin, Indya Martin Arumugam, Taylor Martin, Justus Martin, Olivia Faouri, Bentley Jenson, Calvin Jenson and 8 great-grandchildren, siblings, Harold Martin, Sugar Valley, Georgia, Lanelle Romines, McDonald, Tennessee and Martha Garrison, Lula, Georgia.
Memorial Services will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Chatsworth, Georgia at 2 PM Saturday, March 11, at 1152 GA-52.
