Mrs. Lois Heaton Martin, age 90 of 365 County Line Road, Toccoa passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin.
A daughter of the late John Lee and Sadie Woods Heaton, she was born August 6, 1926 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and later operated a poultry farm. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Martin in 2013 and by two brothers, Harold and Carlton Heaton.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dennis Phillips of Toccoa and Pat and Mike Oliver of Flowery Branch; son, Johnny Martin of New Hope, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Lori and Kevin Thompson, Pam and David Wilson, Donnie and Tabatha Phillips, Amy and Shane Haff and Jill Fricks; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Gail Heaton and Jerry and Janice Heaton both of Toccoa; two sisters and brother-in-law, Sara Childs and Betty and Floyd Yearwood both of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 2 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Tom Waggoner officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jeremy Thompson, Noah Phillips, Hunter Thompson, Elijah Phillips, David Wilson and Shane Haff,
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Lois Heaton Martin.
