Clara Jean Wonn Starr

Clara Jean Wonn Starr, 93, of Dawsonville, Georgia (formerly of Vero Beach, Florida and West Bloomfield, MI) died on February 28, 2017. 

Clara Jean was the wife of Walter W. Starr, who preceded her in death in 1993 after 46 years of marriage.

Born in 1923 in Highland Park, MI, she was the daughter of the late Quinby and Frances Wonn. Clara Jean was the oldest of three children that grew up in Detroit, Michigan.  Her brothers Quinby and David preceded her in death.

She loved to sing and was active in many choral groups including her church choir.

Survivors include her children Kenneth Starr (Somerville, MA); Thomas Starr (Sterling Heights, MI) and his wife Kathleen; Barbara McLean (Athens, GA) and her husband Patrick; Katherine Smith (Dahlonega, GA) and her husband Tony; and her 6 grandchildren Brian, Sarah, Robert, Matthew, Michael Starr; and Matthew Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the music programs of First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach, FL or First Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, MI.
