Vernon Farmer, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Farmer was born on March 31, 1933, in Hall County, to the late Henry Grady and Ruth Jones Farmer. He was a retired welder and attended Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy Abernathy; sister, Violet Farmer; brother, Ralph Farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Farmer, Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Donny Loggins, Lula, and Rita Farmer and Mack Lawson, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and James Edge, Flowery Branch; sister, Wilma Farmer, Cleveland; grandchildren, Samantha and Justin Hughes, Kathryn Loggins, Jesse and Jennifer Abernathy, Victoria Allison; 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. The Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
