Donald Ferguson

Donald Ferguson, age 88, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

Mr. Ferguson was born on March 29, 1928, in Cornelia, Georgia, to the late Logan and Ethel King Ferguson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise Mote Ferguson; sister, Ruth Roper; brothers: Luther, Carl, Roy, Howard, Alva, Amos, Benard, and Julian Ferguson; and infant baby brother Ferguson. He was a sales representative with Stovall Motor Company and Dual S. Enterprises with more than 50 years of service. Mr. Ferguson was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Frances Ferguson Wade, Cornelia; brother, George Ferguson, Loganville; grandchildren: Trinia Moore, Deanna Fauber, and Donald Wade; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Chris York and Donnie Brock officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017, at the funeral home.
