Loyd Alfred Terrell

Loyd Alfred Terrell, age 83 of Buford, GA died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 following an extended illness. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jerry McCormick and Rev. Kenneth Parker will officiate. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his siblings, Alice Pace, Gibbs Terrell, Francis Holland, Effie Fowler, Hazel Fowler and Robert Terrell. He is survived by his daughters, Elaine Drake and Elizabeth Hamlett; 1 grandchild, Tracy Wright and 2 great grandchildren, Brieonna Wright and Jaeyden Wright; brother and sister in-law John and Jean Terrell, Sugar Hill, GA; sisters, Grace Terrell, Buford, Mae Karr, Buford, Ondine Parker, Sugar Hill, Virginia Vickery, SC. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Alfred was born in Carnesville, GA and moved to Buford in 1945. He was retired from Barrington Corporation and a member of Mount Salem Baptist Church.
