Mildred Rosa Williams Richie

Mrs. Mildred Rosa Williams Richie, age 92 of Toccoa passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Dave and Pearl Williams, she was born August 16, 1924 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was Owner/Operator of a Day Care in her home for a number of years and attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Richie in 2002 and by a son, Rickie Richie in 2013.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Elaine Richie of Duluth, Georgia and Benny and Betty Richie of Lawrenceville, Georgia; six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave and Jessie Williams and Ed and Tracey Williams both of Toccoa; two sisters and brother-in-law,  June Westmoreland and Nell and Parks Martin both of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 2, 2017, 2 O’clock P.M. at Liberty Baptist Church with The Reverend Don Scott and The Reverend Stacy Penland officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Joey Welborn, Paul Cash, Joseph Handwork and Danny Handwork.  Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.  Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.
