Martha Jane Collins

Mrs. Martha Jane Collins, age 75, of Oakwood died Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

Mrs. Collins was born in Cleveland, GA to the late Jeff and Mary Allen Dyer.  She served for 15 years on the Oakwood City Council and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oakwood.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Levin James Collins.  She is survived by her son Volley Collins of Oakwood; sons and daughters-in-law Jeff and Susie Collins of Oakwood, Derry and Andrea Collins of Dahlonega, Jimmy and Robie Collins of Cleveland; 8 grandchildren, Brittany and Caleb DeMore, Nicole and Shane Orr, Cody and Lauren Collins, Torey Collins, Cale and Anissa Collins, Nicholas Collins, Colton Collins, and Christina Collins; 4 great-grandchildren Willow Grace, Harper, Lucas, and Baby Orr. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Oakwood.  Rev. Steve Fenlon, Rev. Myles Brown, and Rev. Randall Reed will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery, Cleveland, GA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, March 3, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m.
