Phil Davis Jr

Mr. Phil Davis Jr. age 69 of Gainesville passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.  

Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday March 02, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain Creek Church Cemetery. Reverend Tim Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 01, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday March 02, 2017 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born on July 25, 1947 in Gainesville, GA to the late Phil Davis Sr. and Annie Pauline Cannon Davis. He was retired from Mortgage Lending and was of the Baptist Faith. Phil served his country in the National Guard. Phil was an avid street rodder and enjoyed building street rods after his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Stewart Davis of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and John Bond of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Alicia Davis of Braselton, grandchildren, Chelsea Bond, Lainey Bond, Ian Bond, Ryan Davis, and Bailey Davis, sister-in-law, Cindy Stewart Mayo (Jim)  of Weaverville, NC, brother-in-law, Barry Stewart (Elaine) of Gainesville, mother-in-law, JoAnn Stewart of Decatur, GA, loving step-brothers, Boyd and Jerry of Gainesville.
