Diane Beck Witherspoon

Diane Beck Witherspoon, age 65 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Habersham County on April 21, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Clay Beck. Mrs. Witherspoon was an office manager with Herrin Communities and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Diane was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. In her spare time she enjoyed family camping, traveling, cooking, but most of all spending time with her family. She was also known for her love and desire to live life to the fullest.

Surviving are loving husband of 21 years, Bob Witherspoon of Mt. Airy; mother, Clara Lee Loudermilk Beck Petrie of Mt. Airy; sons, Jeffery Jackson of Mt. Airy and Ricky Jackson of Cornelia; stepchildren and spouses, Richard & Amy Witherspoon of Opelika, CA, Hope & Steven Burris of Demorest, and Kandy Witherspoon of Phoenix City, AL; daughter-in-law, Marsha Jackson of Mt. Airy; siblings and spouses, Janet & Rev. Phillip Yarber of Mt. Airy, Sam & Debbie Beck of Cornelia, Phyllis & Jack Cantrell of Mt. Airy, and Kathy & Jeff Herrin of Cornelia; grandchildren, Taylor & Alyssa Jackson, Madison, Kaylee, Colton, Hannah, and Holly; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, other family and friends whom she loved dearly.

A Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held 2 pm Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Purcell and Rev. Phillip Yarber officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday.
