Kathy Jean Pruitt

Kathy Jean Pruitt, age 63, of Dahlonega, GA passed away suddenly on Monday, February 20, 2017.

"A country gal with a gypsy spirit", that's how Kathy described herself. She loved Jesus but the road and music were her church. Southern roots in no way planted Kathy but served as a guide of how to act when traveling; Speak to everyone and ensure they know you are from the south without ever saying it. Kathy was born and raised in Dahlonega but ventured all over, usually in a Big Rig or her Crown Vic with speed. She loved life and everyone with an insatiable capacity. A woman with true grit and compassion for all that inspired us to live, listen to music and get on the road! Her smile, belly laugh and kind spirit will be remembered and missed by all.

She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Dola Carder Chapman.  Kathy is also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Pruitt and daughter, Stephanie Holtzclaw Helton.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Caron Anderson, Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Grant and Morgan Anderson.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 11 AM to 2 PM.
