Nancy Pitka Jones

Mrs. Nancy Pitka Jones age 91 of Gainesville passed away on Monday February 20, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.        

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday February 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 22, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born on October 21, 1925 in Kokrines, Alaska to the late Harry Pitka and Laura George Pitka. She was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was of the Catholic Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elsie King, brothers, George Pitka and Sherman Pitka, daughter, Regina Jones, and son, Michael Jones.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Greg Rider of Douglasville, son, Mark Jones of Gainesville, son, Jeffrey Jones of Cumming, grand-son, Michael Jones, grand-daughter and husband, Jacqueline and Wes McNure, grand-daughter, Samantha Jones, sister, Regina Eagleton, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
