Bertha L. Williams

Mrs. Bertha L. Williams, age 84, of Flowery Branch died Monday, February 20, 2017. 

Mrs. Williams was born on March 29, 1932 to the late Dock and Inda Mae McElreath Ledford. 

Mrs. Williams was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and the Missions Sunday School class.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved Jesus, flowers, and fast cars.  She was retired from Lucent Technologies.  Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Eugene Williams, brothers, Bill, Herman, Curtis, and George Ledford; and sisters, Dot Wilbanks, Mildred Thomas, Alice Bond, and Linda Ledford.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter Jan Tuck (Arnold) of Buford, sons Ted Williams (Melanie) of Flowery Branch, and Jeff Williams of Flowery Branch; grandson Wayne Tuck (Hope) of Flowery Branch; granddaughters Mandy Howell-Turner (Marty) of Dallas, GA; and Jessica Flowers (Gus) of Gainesville; Carlee Robinson of Flowery Branch; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sarah Tuck, Brooke and Hunter Howell, and Grady Flowers; brothers Aubrey, Frank, Bobby Ledford of Commerce and David Ledford of Carnesville; sisters Ruth Bachman of Yatesville and Paulette Delozier of Buford.    

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Flowery Branch.  Rev. Scott Wilson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4-8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Bertha’s memory to Zion Hill Baptist Church, Flowery Branch.
