Nellie Bell Cranford Evans, age 89, of Cumming, GA, passed away after an extended illness on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Facility.
Nellie was born in Forsyth County in1927, to the late Henry and Lillie Bell Cranford. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA. While attending Lebanon Baptist Church Mrs. Evans worked as the secretary treasurer of the Sunday school program.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, JB Evans; sisters and brother-in-law, Maggie Lee Cranford, Daisy Mae Cranford( Manual) Evans, and Mary Etta Cranford Free; brothers and sister-in-law, Henry Lee ( Ruthie Mae Evans) Cranford, James Samuel Cranford, Mack Cranford, and Robert Victor "R V" Cranford; brothers-in-law, Dale Moore and Junior Nichols; and grandson, James Harold Henderson, Jr. "JAS".
Nellie is Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Evans (James Harold "Jim") Henderson of Ball Ground, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tony (Lisa Dodd) Evans of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan "Scott" (Tiffany Rooks) Henderson of Sandy Springs, GA, Stephen Andrew "Andy" Henderson of Sandy Springs, GA, Blake Anthony Evans and Kayla Ann Evans both of Cumming, GA, sisters and brother-in-law, Laura Kate Cranford Evans & Leonard Evans, of Cumming, GA, Susie Cranford Moore, Dawsonville, GA, brother-in-law, Robert Free, of Cumming, GA, sisters-in-law, Ruby Evans Nichols & Melvin Nichols, of Cumming, GA, and Thelma Evans Nichols, of Cumming, GA and a number of nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Evans and Rev. Brandon Benefield officiating. Interment to follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 9:00PM at the funeral home.
