Julius Westmoreland, age 78 of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Westmoreland was born on August 22, 1938, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Aaron and Marie Westmoreland. He was a truck driver and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Mr. Westmoreland was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Westmoreland, Julian Westmoreland, James Westmoreland; special friend, Ralph Grizzle.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Allyson Westmoreland, Cleveland; daughter, KaRon Westmoreland, Atlanta; grandchildren, Bart Westmoreland, Brett Westmoreland, and Brae Westmoreland (who he loved being PawPaw to more than anything in the world); brothers, Robert Westmoreland, Toccoa, Jewell Westmoreland, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Royce Martin, Cleveland; sister, Janet Turner, Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Lillian Westmoreland, Cleveland, Callie Copeland, Mt Airy; a number of nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by many friends and acquaintances, especially the McDonald’s crowd who he enjoyed poking fun at.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Monday and 11-12:30 Tuesday at the funeral home.
