Billie Gean Knight, age 70, of Cumming passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017. Billie was a wonderful woman who loved her family and growing flowers; her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She enjoyed being at home on her front porch, her birdhouses and cooking, making sure no one left her home hungry, even sending a bag home with everyone. Billie retired from Tyson’s after 23 years of service. A member of Mountain Lake Church, she is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Mima Causey; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Mayford Knight, Jr., of Cumming; children, Pat and Jeff Skinner, Linda Gail Knight, all of Cumming, Clayton and Tammy Knight of Boonville, IN, Nina and Tilford Jones of Evansville, IN, Bobby and Donna Causey of Cumming; her dog, Scooter; grandchildren, Charles and Amanda Davenport, Patricia Causey, Chrystal and Matt Page, Clayton and Stephanie Knight, Cameron and Kyla Knight, Jenny Clark, Brittney and Eric Beckerle, Nikki and Ryan Qualls, Taylor and Cody Samples, Courtney and Wayne Murray; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Causey, Marie Blevins, all of Lexington, KY; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and neighbors and best friends, Patty Livingston, Rodney, Lynne and Lauren Braning.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20, at 4:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Watson officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
