Douglas A. Lykins

Mr. Douglas A. Lykins, 74, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 2pm in the chapel of Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 4pm until 7pm. Pastor David Simpson will be officiating the service.

Mr. Lykins was born, June 7, 1942 in Huntington, WV, to the late Earl H. and June Lykins. He was a member of Lanier Christian Church. Mr. Lykins served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Following his military service Douglas worked for ATT; where he retired as the Operations Manager after 32 years of service. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Earl Lykins.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Lykins,  daughter and son in law Kim & Denny Allen; son and daughter in law Brian & Kim Lykins; five grandchildren Ryan Douglas Allen, Joshua David Allen, Colton Patrick Lykins, Brina Caroline Lykins, and Brooke Elizabeth Lykins. He is also survived by multiple cousins.
