Billy Joe Thomason

Billy  Joe Thomason, 78, of the Prospect Community, passed away Tuesday evening February 14, 2017, at the Brown Health and Rehab, in Royston, GA.

January 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Omer Willis and Zimmie Ruth Langston Thomason.  He was the brother of the late Bobby Joe, and the brother-in-law of the late Evelyn Franklin Thomason.  He ran the asphalt plant for Tugalo Construction. He was a member of the Mt Zion United Methodist Church. 

Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law, Howard Thomason, Mt Airy, and Melvin and Mary Belle Thomason, Carnesville; nieces, Melva Thomason and Janet Parham, and nephew, Jerry Thomason; great-nieces, Julie, Andrea, and Brittany; great-great-niece, Chloe, and great-great-nephew, Colton. 

Services will be 3pm Friday afternoon at the Mt Zion United Methodist Church, with Rev. Terry Deland, and Rev. Sandra Skinner.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from  2 to 4pm and from 6 until 8pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
