Christopher D. Bell

Obituary Date: Friday, February 10, 2017

Christopher Denard Bell was born on February 19, 1965 at Hall County Hospital, Gainesville, Ga. to Mr. Robert Lee Bell and Mrs. Mary Helen Bell. He departed this life and entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 10, 2017 after an extended illness.

 

Chris attended Gainesville High School. He was a lover of sports in particular football and baseball and he played them well.. Chris will be remembered as being a skillful Master Barber, as well as an avid griller and cook. He loved fishing which is a beloved hobby he shared with his father. Chris loved his family, having fun, and was a devoted friend to many.

 

Chris accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior was baptized and became a member of the Antioch Baptist Church; Gainesville, Ga. God gave Chris a mighty testimony and allowed him to share his testimony of salvation and redemption in the latter days of his life. Chris loved to attend church and he looked forward to every opportunity he could to worship and praise the Lord. He departed this life in a praise and worship moment with his favorite song “Never Would Have Made It” ministering in the atmosphere.

 

Chris Bell was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Robert Bell of Gainesville, Ga.; his maternal grandparents, Mr. Nathaniel Daniel and Mrs. Blanche Daniel of Jefferson, Ga.; and his paternal grandfather  Mr. Garfield Bell of Gainesville, Ga.

 

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Mrs. Mary Helen Bell, his sister Ms. Shannon Bell, daughter Ms. Brittany Williams; paternal grandmother Mrs. Dora Lee Arnold Bell Nowells; nephews Mr. Peyton Hodges and Mr. Cameron Cheeks; niece Miss Charisma Cheeksall of Gainesville, Ga.;  and a great niece Miss Journee Peyton-Rae Hodges of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Chris also leaves to cherish his memory many beloved family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, and life-long friends. To God be the glory for the mighty things He has done in the life of our beloved Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend Chris Bell.  Rest eternally.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
