Margaret Ann Purcell

Mrs. Margaret Ann Purcell, age 83, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Purcell was born in Commerce to the late Hope William and Lucy Pearl Payne Glasure. She was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church and was retired from BJC Hospital as a dietician. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Purcell was preceded in death by her husband, William George Purcell, Sr.

Mrs. Purcell is survived by her daughters, Susan Freeman of Commerce and Mildred Huckabee of Covington; sons, J.D. Purcell of Commerce and Billy Purcell of Ila; brother, Marvin Glasure of Thomasville; eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, February 16 at New Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Campbell and Rev. David Moody officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 to 8 PM.
