Mary Alice “Hanie” Williamson

Mrs. Mary Alice “Hanie” Williamson, 86, of Gainesville passed away February 8, 2017 at her residence.

          A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Rev. Levi Nix and Rev. Lamar Purcell will officiate. The family will received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.

          Born on March 28, 1930 in Gainesville, GA she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Hanie and Alice Hanie Saine. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church.  Being in church was her favorite thing to do. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Ben Williamson and her siblings.

          A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Williamson is survived by her daughter, Martha Williamson of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Mary Lynn (Larry) Moore of Gainesville; grandson and wife, Jason (Amanda) Norris of Toccoa; great grandchildren, Caitlin Norris and Chloe Norris of Toccoa and a number of nieces and nephews.
