George K. Parker

George K. Parker, age 80, of Alto, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

Mr. Parker was born on February 22, 1936, in Alto, Georgia, to the late Juluis and Dorothy May Parker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Gravitt Parker; sons, Ricky J. Parker and Douglas Parker; daughter, Martha Parker Davis; grandchild, Roxanne Sullens; brother, Allard Parker; and sister, Elaine Gilbert. Mr. Parker was a veteran of the United States Air Force and an electrician. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Donnie Lejeune, Holly Beach, Louisiana; son, Kenneth Parker, Alto; sisters: Estelle Carter, Homer, Betty Hart, Carnesville, and Charlotte Hansard, Hollingsworth Community; brother, Michael Parker, Baldwin; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eddie Tanner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 pm just prior to the service on Friday at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
