Obituary Date: Monday, February 6, 2017

Jessie Kermit “JK” Crumley, age 89 of Clermont, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017.

Jessie Kermit "JK" Crumley was born in White County Georgia to Harvel and Faye Crumley on June 20, 1927 as one of 13 children. JK served in the US Air Force at the end of World War II and earned a honorable discharge after his term of service to his country. After the Air Force, he met the love of his life, Jane Ann Gailey, who he married and spent sixty-six years with till the day he went to be with the Lord. He was a great provider for his wife and four children. Over his career he started a highly successful home building business lasting 24 years, founding Crumley Construction Company, and Rite Way Homes, Inc. He also owned Quality Mobile Homes which was located in Clermont, Ga. After he retired from the building business he became a dairyman owning three different dairy's located in three different counties of Georgia. His most passionate hobby was the love of Tennessee Walking Horses. He owned Holly Valley Farms where he and his family lived for the past 56 years. He found great joy in having his friends and family around him. Perhaps the one story he loved telling was when he was accidentally locked in the barber shop where his father Harvel worked. He says "he was accused of breaking in and stealing three haircuts and no telling how many shaves"! He was a loving, caring, humorous, hardworking husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be terribly missed by all!
