Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Bennie Edd Wilbanks, age 86 of Braselton, Georgia who entered into rest Sunday, February 5, 2017. Mr. Wilbanks was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son of the late Bee Hawk Wilbanks and the late Dessie Turk Wilbanks, was of the Methodist Faith and was retired from the maintenance department of Springbrook Country Club. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilbanks is preceded by sisters, Iris Carter and Addie Blanche Dills and a brother, Allen Eugene Wilbanks.
Mr. Wilbanks is survived by two sisters, Joyce Fowler of Braselton, and Sue Dalton of Danielsville. Three brothers, Wayne Wilbanks of Jefferson, Jarrell Wilbanks of Bowman and Jimmy Wilbanks of Monroe. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Jesse Mealor officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 10:00 – 12:00 prior to the service.
