Theron Edward Dutton, age 88, of Cumming, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Theron was born in 1928 to the late Elijah (Lige) and Eula Dutton. He was a member of Cumming Baptist Church and the UAW local 10. He is a retiree of General Motors. Theron was a great Christian man and for that he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be missed dearly. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Lamar Dutton, and sister, Beulah Davidson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Ferrell Dutton of Cumming; children, Greg (Kim) Dutton of Cumming, Diana Dutton James of Cumming, and Gary (Debbie) Dutton of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, and Jake Dutton all of Cumming, Trudy (Walter) Cain of Lawrenceville; great grandchildren, Antavius, Chyna, and Akeem Cain all of Lawrenceville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sanford (Elizabeth) Dutton of Lawrenceville, Ralph (Betty) Dutton of Lawrenceville, Hoyt (Sue) Dutton of Snellville, David (Hilda) Dutton of Lilburn, Jimmy (Sharon) Dutton of Gillsville, sister, Frances Simpson of Fort Valley, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Dutton of Maysville; along with many other loving friends and relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Dutton will be on held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bo Thompson Officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
