John P. Meehan, Jr.

Mr. John P. Meehan, Jr., age 71, of Auburn, formerly of Florida, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Gwinnett Medical Center – Lawrenceville, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.  Deacon Dr. Bob Perri will officiate.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Meehan was born September 12, 1945 to the late John Patrick, Sr. & Irene Tamas Meehan in Trumbull, Connecticut.  He attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  He retired from Bell South, where he had been a Power Technician.  Mr. Meehan had previously served in the Army Reserve.

Mr. Meehan is survived by his wife, Denise Meehan of Auburn; daughter & son-in-law, Kimberly Meehan & Damon Kaluahine of Lantana, Florida; granddaughter, Kaylin; brother & sister-in-law, Paul M. & Jacklyn D. Meehan of Bradenton, Florida; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Cheryl & Peter Dauenhauer; and nephew, Michael Manente.
