Bridie Beatrice Johnson

Mrs. Birdie Beatrice Johnson, age 81 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend David Lewis and Reverend Johnny Johnson, Jr. will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 23, 1935 in Lawrenceville, Georgia to the late Starling Callahan and Eliza Turner Callahan.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.  Birdie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Troyce Johnson Sr. and her sons, Russell Crane, Troyce Johnson, Jr., siblings, Edward Callahan, Ever Callahan, Agnes Wright, Edith Amerson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Brenda Stith of Gainesville, Dianne & Darrin Stephens of Gainesville, Cindy & Willard Stiwinter of Franklin, NC, Angela & Mark Goodsir of Cleveland, Angela Crane of Milner, Georgia, Icie Johnson of Gainesville, Tony, Sr. & Louise Johnson of Murrayville, Johnny Johnson of Gainesville, Tim Sr. & Pam Johnson of Pendergrass, Georgia, Robin & Zeferino Capulin of Gillsville, 42 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and sisters, Alice Corsey of Stockbridge, Georgia and Bertha Lewis of Demorest.
