John Raymond Berry, age 71 of Buford, GA died Tuesday, January 24, 2017 following an extended illness. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Duke Forester will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at https://donate3.cancer.org John is survived by his wife Jackie Berry, Buford, GA; children, Lisa Ellis (Winston), Buford, GA, Chad Berry (Erin) Winder, GA, Jamie Berry (Samantha), Buford, GA; grandchildren, Alexis Berry, Cade Berry, Raegan Berry, Annalise Ellis, Cooper Berry; brother, Keith Berry, Oxford, GA; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Ben and Laura Forrester, Commerce, GA, Joe and Sheila Forrester, Auburn, GA, Sallye Forrester, Buford, GA; several nieces and nephews. John was born in Atlanta and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired from Scientific Atlanta where he served as an international sales representative.
