Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 25, 2017 at Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel for Lamar Willard Reynolds, age 90 of Gainesville. Edward Dollar will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Reynolds passed away Sunday January 22, 2017.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Dekalb County and spent most of his life in Hall County. He was the son of the late Willard Gordon Reynolds and Viola Margaret Pittman Reynolds. He had worked for J.D. Jewell Hatchery and invented and sold poultry equipment under his company Beak-O-Vac, Inc.
Survivors include wife of 72 years, Doris Campbell Reynolds, Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Jimmie Ree and Melvin Dorsey, Cleveland; son, Dwight Reynolds, Clermont; daughter, Charlotte Hartsfield, Gainesville; sons, Philip Reynolds, Gainesville, Lamar Reynolds Jr., Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Michael Bolding, Braselton; Alicia and Ronnie Gordon, Gainesville; sister, Sybil Reynolds Stryker; 11 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.
